Experienced Colorectal and General Surgeon

Mr Will Chambers is an experienced Colorectal and General Surgeon and has been working at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital as a Consultant since 2009. He specialises in hernia and pelvic floor surgery using key hole techniques to limit the impact of operations. He is the leading pelvic floor surgeon in the Peninsular receiving referrals from across the region.

Hernias of all kinds: inguinal, femoral, umbilical, epigastric and incisional. He offers up to date laparoscopic, open and local anaesthetic approaches.

Pelvic Floor

These include faecal incontinence, obstructed defaecation (difficulty in going to the loo), rectal prolapse and symptomatic rectoceles.

Haemorrhoids & anal pathology

Haemorrhoids are a normal part of the anus. They are small sacs of blood vessels under the lining of the bowel.

A colonoscopy is a scope test to examine the lining of the colon. It is uses to investigated bleeding from the bowel and changes in the way it works.
