Experienced Colorectal and General Surgeon at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital as a Consultant since 2009. Specialises in hernia and pelvic floor surgery using key hole techniques to limit the impact of operations.  Leading pelvic floor surgeon in the Peninsular receiving referrals from across the region.

Hernias

Hernias of all kinds: inguinal, femoral, umbilical, epigastric and incisional. He offers up to date laparoscopic, open and local anaesthetic approaches.

Pelvic Floor

These include faecal incontinence, obstructed defaecation (difficulty in going to the loo), rectal prolapse and symptomatic rectoceles.

Haemorrhoids & anal pathology

Haemorrhoids are a normal part of the anus. They are small sacs of blood vessels under the lining of the bowel.

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a scope test to examine the lining of the colon. It is uses to investigated bleeding from the bowel and changes in the way it works.

Bowel Cancer Diagnosis

Mr William Chambers offers a diagnosis service for possible bowel cancer, we can arrange further investigation.

Mr Will Chambers went to the Royal Free Medical School in London having studied Chemistry at Bristol and Biochemistry at Newcastle. His higher surgical training was centred on the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford and his MD research was undertaken in collaboration with Cancer Research UK.
